Phil Hopp Photo Exhibit

Through the month of July, visitors to Newburgh City Hall can enjoy beautiful views of Newburgh and the Hudson River by Cornwall-on-Hudson photographer Philip J. Hopp.
While he has pursued various careers, from printer to paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne, Hopp has always returned to photography. A graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and a member of the International Society of Photographers, Hopp has used photography to present the beauty of the earth’s environment. Inspired by a trip to the Grand Canyon in 1997, Hopp hopes to use his landscape and outdoor photography to motivate people to get involved in environmental protection issues.
His panoramic views of the Newburgh Bay and Hudson Highlands can be seen in the ground floor hallway of City Hall at 83 Broadway.
