Cornwall Public Library Presents Art Exhibit – The Collaborative Works of DiMiceli, DiMiceli & Carver
CORNWALL, NY – The Cornwall Public Library will host a Meet the Artists Reception on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. to kick off the art exhibit, The Collaborative Works of DiMiceli, DiMiceli & Carver by artists Doreen Cordero DiMiceli, Lucy DiMiceli and Roger Carver.
Doreen Cordero DiMiceli is a lifelong resident of New York State, having grown up in Ulster County. She earned a bachelors and master’s degree from Mt. St. Mary College and has dedicated her career to the human services field. Along with a love for the beauty of nature and animals, Doreen loves traveling, and is always on a quest to explore new areas, whether it be the beach, nature trails or a local park. If she can find new adventures to share with her pets, all the better! She is known for having a camera in hand, always ready to capture the perfect shot.
The endless variety of wildlife holds a special fascination and inspiration for Lucy DiMiceli. Her deep connection and relationship with animals is brought forth in the softness of pastels and the richness of oil paints, combined with her use of classic realism. Her talent and style have developed and evolved through studies at Ladycliff College, Harriman College, The American Academy of Equine Arts in Lexington Kentucky, classes at private studios and numerous workshops, as well as many hours of brush in hand. Lucy’s paintings hang in private collections throughout the east coast and she continues to work on original paintings in her Newburgh, New York studio.
Roger Carver is originally from Ft. Meyers Florida but has lived in Cornwall New York for over 20 years. Somewhere along the way, he picked up a camera and now finds himself a photo enthusiast/amateur photographer. His photographic interests include, but are not limited to, Landscape, Urban and Animal portraits. He currently shoots with Nikon bodies and lenses, with limited photo editing sometimes involving the use of Photoshop. In a nutshell, photography is a hobby he truly enjoys.
The Collaborative Works of DiMiceli, DiMiceli & Carver will be on display in the Community Room at the Cornwall Public Library until April 25, 2023.
