riverfest
May 28, 2023

The Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will host its 24th annual RiverFest this Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 11 am to 6 pm. RiverFest 2023 will be held in beautiful Donahue Memorial Park, on the shore of the majestic Hudson River, and will feature a full day of music and entertainment, children’s activities, and a large craft and food fair. For a complete list of vendors, check our website at www.river-fest.com.

The Beacon Sloop Club will be offering sails on the sloop Woody Guthrie on a first come, first served basis. Sign up early at the boat launch ramp. Storm King Adventure Tours will be offering kayak demo rides. Stop by their booth for info.

Once again, the RiverFest committee will raffle a kayak as a fundraiser. Tickets are $5.00 each and will be for sale at RiverFest. The drawing will be held at 5:30 PM at RiverFest, and the winner does not need to be present.

Another full day of entertainment is planned. Some favorites from previous years are returning, as well as some newcomers. For children, Story Laurie and Magic Rachel will be back. For everyone, we have a great line-up of bands that will perform from noon until 5:00 PM:

Scheduled to perform are:
· Noon: Mark Henderson – “Easy Rock" solo musician from the Hudson Valley.
· 1 pm The Gioias –- pop/folk group
· 2 pm 105 Band –- rock and roll trio.
· 3pm West Point Band – Comprised of active-duty Solder-Musicians, the West Point Band is the U.S. Army’s oldest band.
· 4 pm Soul City –– 5-piece band bringing the best Motown, Funk, and R&B hits of the past

Free shuttle buses will run in a continuous loop from the Cornwall Middle School Parking Lot starting at 10:45 am, with the last bus running at 6:30 pm. Buses will exit the Middle School and make a right on Main Street. Buses will follow Main Street to Chadeayne Circle and then follow Main St. to Hudson St. and finally Dock Hill Road to Donahue Park & RiverFest 2023. After discharging passengers, buses will proceed along Shore Road and turn left on Wood Ave. Busses will return to the Middle School via Hudson St. and Main St. Busses will stop along Main St. and Hudson St. to pick up and discharge passengers. Donahue Park is closed to vehicular traffic during the festival with the exception of vehicles displaying RiverFest parking passes, Cornwall Yacht Club members and holders of valid handicap plates or placards.
