MONDAY 9/20/21

11:00 AM – Virtual Creative Writers Group

Join a virtual meeting of the Library’s Creative Writers Group.  Register via the Library’s online calendar.  Zoom links will be distributed on the Friday before the meeting.  It will be a recurring link, usable for all Creative Writers’ meetings.


4:30 PM – Chess Time

Open to all ages! For any skill range from beginner to accomplished players. An instructor will be available. In-person, outside. Just drop in!


6:30 PM – PJ Story Time

Catch the Library’s PJ Story Time in-person, outside, weather permitting.  Put on your PJs and join Pat Parker as she reads stories geared for 3 to 5-year-olds, but all are welcome.  Register via the Library’s online calendar one week prior to the event.


TUESDAY 9/21/21

9:00 AM or 10:00 AM – Family Story Time

Enjoy an in-person Family Story Time at the Library (outside, weather permitting).  Please register via the Library's online calendar for the time slot of your choice one week prior to the event. 


12:00 PM – Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables: ‘Fall’ for Beans & Fiber

Monica Cieslak Morgan, a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef and JSY educator working with the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, incorporates healthy food choices into your diet. Free giveaways and recipes will be provided. In-person program on our outside portico limited to 15 attendees. Rain or Shine!  COVID safety protocols in place. Register via the Library’s online calendar. This program will also be broadcast live via the Library Facebook page.

6:30 PM – Gustav Klimpt and Vienna’s Golden Age 

Janet Mandel, retired Art History and World Languages & Culture instructor, tells the story of Gustav Klimt's remarkable life and artistic talents. A discussion on what happened to his many Jewish patrons and the Klimt works they owned during the Nazi era and beyond will be included.  Register the Library’s online calendar. Zoom links will be sent to all registrants the day of the program.



8:30 PM – Virtual Out and About Book Group

Book Pick: Mexican Gothic by Sylvia Moreno-Garcia

Just because we aren’t yet Out & About doesn’t mean we can’t still have a great book club meeting! Digital ebooks and audiobooks are available through Libby or call the Library for a hard copy.  Register via the Library’s online calendar, pour yourself a drink and join us for a virtual book discussion and more! Zoom meeting invites will be emailed to registrants prior to the meeting on the day of the book club.


THURSDAY 9/23/21

6:30 PM – Readzza Readzza Book Group

Book pick: The Truth As Told By Mason Buttle by Leslie Connor. 

For grades 5-8.  Register when you pick up copy of the book at the library.  In-person, outside.


6:30 PM – Virtual Book Chat & Chocolate 

Book pick: Recipe for a Perfect Wife by Karma Brown

Join the Hudson Valley’s sweetest book group for a virtual book discussion. eBooks and eAudiobooks are available through Libby, or call the Library to request a hard copy. Register via the Library’s online calendar. Zoom meeting invitations will be sent out to registrants on the day of the book club.
