Obituaries: Stefano Fiorello

STEFANO FIORELLO
April 18, 1933 – February 11, 2023
Cornwall, NY

Stefano Fiorello, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on February 11, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 89 years old.

The son of the late Graziano Fiorello and Isabella (Mannino) Fiorello, Stefano was born on April 18, 1933 in Carini, Palermo, Italy.

Stefano was a retired Carpenter for Union Local 2090 in New York City, NY.

Stefano never forgot where he came from. He shared his days between Italy and the United States. He loved growing his vegetable garden in Italy every year. His joy was found in raising canaries and making homemade wine. He took so much pride in his woodworking and shared his talent with all. His greatest joy was his family. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Stefano was predeceased by his first wife; Rosaria (Gambino) Fiorello. He is survived by his wife: Anna (Violante) Fiorello at home; his children: Isabella (Fiorello) Randazzo, Vita (Fiorello) Alamia and her husband Giovanni, Graziano “Gary” Fiorello and his wife Catherine, and Joseph Fiorello and his wife Carmen; his grandchildren: Daniel Randazzo, Salvatore J. Randazzo, Vanessa Randazzo, and Adriana Randazzo, Annmarie Alamia, Jennifer Palombella and her husband Michael, Giovanni Alamia, Mia Fiorello, Amanda Yetman, Luciano Fiorello, Heather Finley, Victoria Fiorello and Mateo Fiorello; his great grandchildren: Francesca Cirillo, Guiseppe Cirillo, Giovanni Cirillo, Carlotta Palombella, Alessandra Palombella, Aiden Finley, Dillon Finley, Janella Randazzo, Romello Randazzo, Aliyana Randazzo, Jalessa Randazzo, and Marquiez Lopaz-Randazzo; and his brother: Umberto Fiorello of Italy. Stefano was predeceased by his brothers: Mateo, Salvatore and Antonio; and by his son-in-law: Salvatore Randazzo.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Entombment will follow the Mass at Cedar Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Middle Hope, NY.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses with Hospice and their aides Billiejo, Valerie and Barbara.
