Incidents

Police issue approximately 1 warnings and summonses to drivers including tickets issued for no parking permits.
08/11/22 Police dispatch an injured deer humanely.
08/12/22 A caller reported someone acting suspicious and directed Police to the area where the subject was located. Several marijuana plants were located and confiscated by Police.
08/13/22 A man sent explicit messages to an instagram and the account owner was extorting the caller. The Police told him there was little they could do about the matter.
08/13/22 Fire Dept respond to rt 32 to extinguish a fire on power lines.
08/13/22 A hiker lost her dog and was reunited with the dog at the flagpole parking area.
08/14/22 A caller reported finding a pitbull/terrier mix and took it home for the evening but wanted Police to be aware that he was taking to the vet to be scanned for a microchip. Police located the dog’s owner through Lost Pets of the Hudson Valley facebook group and the dog was reunited with its owner.
08/15/22 A caller from Canterbury Ave. reported 2 males in a brown/ gold color suv going around the neighborhood taking pictures of houses.
08/16/22 A caller reported that a man was attempting to break into his home and he saw the man in a white shirt running from his home. It was concluded that a bear had likely knocked down a garbage can and walked off holding a white garbage bag.
08/16/22 Someone posted a sign on a homeowner’s door of a skull and crossbones that said drugs kill.
08/19/22 Police move tree branches from Rt 218.
08/19/22 Police find two dogs and return them to their owner.
