Obituaries: Kathleen E. McArdle

January 3, 1939 – July 22, 2021
Cornwall, NY

Kathleen E. McArdle, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on July 22, 2021 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 82 years old.

The daughter of the late James V. McArdle and Kathleen E. (Neilan) McArdle, Kathleen was born on January 3, 1939 in Huntington, NY.

Kathleen was a devout Catholic. She was a warm, friendly, sweet, kind and social individual. She was a woman who was young at heart and easy to get along with. Kathleen enjoyed spending time with family and friends. What Kathleen enjoyed most in life was that of being an aunt to two nieces and a great aunt to one nephew and four nieces.

Kathleen is survived by her niece: Gina A. (McArdle) Molloy and Tom Molloy of New Windsor, NY; her great nieces: Paige, Madison, Hailey, Gia and great nephew Thomas James and her sister-in-law: Jean A. (Apolito) McArdle. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her niece: Brooke A. McArdle on July 7, 2021.

Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 25th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27th at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 344 Main St, Northport, NY. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Philip Neri Cemetery, 5 Laurel Road, East Northport, NY.
