Arrests
06/27/21 A 36 yr old male was arrested and charged with assault in the 3rd degree and obstruction of breathing after a domestic incident.
07/02/21 Kevin G Cunningham, age 61 of New Windsor, NY was arrested and charged with DWI, D.W.I. and unsafe lane changes.
Incidents
06/01/21 Police respond to a complaint from a caller receiving unwanted texts.
06/02/21 Police respond to the Hudson Valley motel to recover a stolen Enterprise rental car.
06/05/21 Police locate a bear in a tree on Tamara Ln. and chase it back into the woods.
06/06/21 Police assist Village Police with a vehicle accident and rollover into the water on Boulevard.
06/09/21 Police and Fire Dept respond to Continental Rd for a car fire. Vehicle then removed by tow truck.
06/10/21 Police take a report of fraud. Someone charged over $600 of Playstation charges to the complainants account.
06/11/21 A caller reported seeing teens possibly trying to break into the food shack at the Middle School football field. Police found 3 boys on bikes and advised them to move along.
06/12/21 Police respond to a tree down on Rt 94.
06/13/21 Police respond to a report of 3 subjects in a vacant building and release them to their parents.
06/15/21 Police respond to remove tree off of Rt 9W which caused property damage.
06/16/21 Police assist a resident with an aggressive dog that bit the owners child.
06/18/21 A Highway employee on a riding mower reported that a large piece of metal with clamps from the train tracks fell from the viaduct. The tracks appeared to be out of alignment. MTA notified and sending Police and repair units.
A male and female left a restaurant without paying their $89 bill. Police take report of vehicle information.
06/18/21 Police remove a tree blocking Rt 32.
06/19/21 Police move bear along on Ridgeview Terrace and advise residents to keep garbage inside when possible.
06/22/21 A subject reported vehicle damage after a a Town employee was weed whacking and an flew into her window breaking it.
06/26/21 Two pedestrians were bitten by 2 small dogs near Spruce St.
06/27/21 A caller reported that a postal vehicle was on fire.
06/27/21 Police and Fire Dept respond to Rt 32 for a grill on fire.
07/02/21 Police and Fire Dept respond to Laurel Ave for a Jeep on fire. The officer observed transmission fluid and the vehicle owner stated that he just picked up the vehicle after paying $6000 for a new transmission.
07/02/21 Police investigate an attempted burglary after reviewing security footage with a resident and viewing an unknown man walking around the house trying to get in and moving the security camera.
07/04/21 Several complaints of people setting off fireworks.
