Obituaries: Amber L. Reeves

June 06, 2021

August 9, 1980 – May 31, 2021
Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY

Amber L. Reeves, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on May 31, 2021 at her home. She was 40years old.

The daughter of Martha L. Reeves, Amber was born on August 9, 1980 in Newburgh, NY.

Amber had an unfailing love of animals. She was a Groomer at Puppy Paws in Cornwall, NY.

A family statement reads: "Amber was so much to so many of us. Her lively, vivacious and bubbly personality was impossible not to love. Her smile challenges a sunrise in breathtaking beauty. She was first, the greatest of daughters. No sonnet could ever immortalize her love and loyalty to her family. No heart could rival her devotion to the creatures of our world. Be it a bug, bird, wild, stray, cats or dogs, her care and consideration to all life around her was like a sun beam of inspiration. As a wife she could be the most thoughtful and courageous companion. A powerful, strong, loving, gorgeous, empathetic, and intuitive woman that will forever be in all our hearts." She will be missed greatly.

In addition to her mother, Amber is survived by her husband: Jamin T. Waterman at home; her aunt: Suzanne Reeves; her in-laws: Melissa and George Waterman; and by her beloved cats and Saint Bernard's: Guerin and Ollie. Amber was predeceased by her maternal grandparents: Martha and Harry Reeves; and by her uncle: Harry Reeves, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Amber’s name may be made to the Catskill Animal Sanctuary, 316 Old Stage Road, Saugerties, NY 12477 or New York Bully Crew, 1457 Montauk Highway East Patchogue, NY 11772.
