Obituaries: Mary Ellen Albarino

March 27, 1954 – January 21, 2021
Cornwall, NY

Mary Ellen (Ward) Albarino of Cornwall, NY passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 66. The daughter of the late Joseph L. and Sheila Blaine Ward, she was born on March 27, 1954, in Cornwall, NY.

Mary Ellen was a graduate of Thevenet Hall Academy High School and St. John’s University. She was a retired Guidance Counselor at John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen, NY and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Thevenet Montessori School.

Mary Ellen is survived by her beloved children: Tracy (Nicholas) Sypher and their daughter Susannah of New Hampton, NH; Patricia (Craig) Yustein and their children Julia and Adam of Monroe; and John (Emma) Albarino and their children Declan and Owen of Cornwall; Anthony (Lisa) Albarino and their children Michael, Kaitlyn and Nicholas of Slate Hill; her brother: Joseph L. (Anne) Ward, Jr.; her sister: Joanne T. (Ed) Fornusek. She is also survived by aunts and uncles; a niece and nephew; grandnieces; and more cousins than she could possibly count.

A Mass of Christian Burial and Interment will take place privately. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
