Incidents
Police issue approximately 5 warnings and 8 summonses to drivers including warnings and summonses issued for parking at the riverfront without a permit and warnings and summonses issued during a special traffic assignment.
09/14/20 Police respond to a call about a bear in a tree on Payson Rd. Bear came down safely on his own.
09/15/20 Police respond to a noise complaint at the music store. Owner then closed the door.
09/15/20 A fake $100 bill was spent at Fiddlesticks. Also happened in other jurisdictions. Police made a copy of the flyer and distributed it to several businesses to notify them.
09/18/20 Police respond to Deer Hill Rd for a report of illegal dumping of brush. The complainant will put up a no dumping sign.
09/18/20 Police respond to Church St for a report of a tree down in the road and notify DPW for removal.
09/19/20 Police assist Town Police with a multiple vehicle accident on Rt 9W no injuries.
09/19/20 Police and SKFD respond to Riverbank for smoke. Smoke was due to cooking.
09/19/20 Police and SKFD respond to Hudson St for a broken water pipe and flooding.
09/20/20 Police respond to Rt 9W for a deer vs motorcycle accident.
09/20/20 A caller reported vandalism on freshly poured concrete on Hudson St.
09/22/20 Police respond to Maple Ave for a tree and wires down.
09/22/20 Police take a report of an accident that took place on September 13th.
A tree on the Village’s property fell on a vehicle causing damage.
09/22/20 A caller reported that someone was in their store without a mask.
09/22/20 Police respond to Mountain Rd for a car vs deer accident.
09/25/20 A caller complained that subjects from out of town were setting up for a wedding proposal at the waterfront gazebo. Caller was advised on how to proceed with the village clerk on Monday.
09/26/20 Police respond to Mountain Rd for a 2 vehicle accident no injuries.
09/30/20 Police and SKFD respond to a transformer fire.
10/01/20 Police assist water department in moving a vehicle.
10/01/20 Police respond to a complaint of a raccoon on Payson Rd. chewing on a rock. Police move raccoon along.
10/02/20 A caller reported that kids were running down Hudson Street looking suspicious. Kids were playing manhunt.
10/04/20 Cumberland reported that several customers were not wearing masks in the store.
