Police issue approximately 5 warnings and 39 summonses to drivers including warnings and summonses issued for parking at the riverfront without a permit and warnings and summonses issued during a special traffic assignment.
05/14/20 Police receive call of 2 lost hikers, State Police assigned.
05/15/20 Tree fell on car in a driveway on Idlewild Park Dr. Report taken for documentation.
05/17/20 Police responded to the waterfront for a complaint of several race cars parked there. Police told drivers to move along.
05/17/20 A caller reported 6 motorcycles driving at a high rate of speed on Rt 218. After caller confronted the riders, one of them urinated on the caller’s lawn.
05/18/20 Police respond to a complaint of trespassing in Storm King park possibly involving a camp fire. Police advise trespassers.
05/20/20 A caller reported dead cat on Hudson St. Police removed cat from roadway.
05/22/20 Police reunite a lost beagle type dog with its owner.
05/24/20 Police receive complaints about no places to park at riverfront for residents.
05/24/20 Police receive complaints of fireworks throughout the evening on First St.
05/25/20 Police assist lost hikers back to their vehicle.
05/26/20 A store clerk reported that a male stole power bars from the store. The subject then called the store several times asking to speak to the manager about the power bars.
05/27/20 Two people from the animal physical medicine and rehabilitation center stated that they would be in the woods behind the Police Station rehabilitating a deer that was injured.
05/30/20 Police take a report of a minor accident involving a fire truck backing up and scratching a parked boat at the yacht club.
05/31/20 Police take a report of criminal mischief. Someone cut the chain to the entrance of The Grail on Duncan Ave.
05/31/20 Police respond to Mountain Rd for parking complaints and found no illegally parked vehicles.
05/31/20 Police assist Town Police with traffic control on Rt 9W following a motorcycle accident.
