Geese Committee Meeting
The 7 member Cornwall “Geese Population Management Committee” which was appointed by the Town Board, will hold its next meeting at the Munger Cottage adjacent to Rings Pond (Geese ground zero) at 7pm . The Committee will continue exploring methods of geese control for use in Cornwall.
Meets at Munger Cottage at 7pm.
Main Topics of discussion are to be (a) Proposed Egg Oiling (Addling) by USDA,
(b) Education of populous through involvement of the Cornwall Central School District relative non-feeding program,
(c) Enforcement of no-feed policy and signage,
(d) Volunteerism to clean River Light Park area and specifically the Rings Pond local by involvement of various youth and civic organizations,
(e) Involvement of local citizenry and land trusts & non-profits in locating, and detailing/mapinf the sites of all nesting areas,
(f) Cornwall Town Board permissive Resolution
Note: Town Board Members, past and present, are reportedly going to be present.
