COH Summer Playground Registration
Village Summer Recreation Program starts July 6
The Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will operate its Summer Recreation Program for six weeks, from July 6 through Aug. 14.
The program runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary school.
The program is open to children who will enter grades 1-7 next Autumn. This program will also offer Kindercamp for campers entering kindergarten in autumn.
The recreation program offers games, sports, arts and crafts, swimming, special activities and field trips. Kindercampers will participate in games and arts and crafts.
Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon June 6 and from 7-9 p.m. June 22 in the Village Hall board room. Parents and guardians must bring a form of identification indicating their address. They must also provide an up-to-date immunization record from their children’s health provider.
Jennifer Borland is returning as the director and Amanda Russell, a counselor for several years, is the assistant director. Many of last year’s counselors are also returning. The deadline for counselor applications is May 22. Counselors must be at least 16 years old and must attend a two-hour training course.
The fee for Cornwall-on-Hudson residents is $130 per child ($300 maximum per family).
The fee for non-village residents is $230 per child.
