ENERGY-SAVING WORKSHOP AT THE LIBRARY

CORNWALL, NY – On Thursday, March 7th, RUPCO, the Rural Ulster Preservation Company, is sponsoring an energy-saving workshop at Cornwall Public Library targeted at homeowners and renters. The presentation will include information about energy-efficient programs and incentives offered by New York State.
The Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO) is a not-for-profit agency, established in 1981 that takes a broad approach to housing and community development. RUPCO is led by a dedicated volunteer board of directors and advisory council. Their program at Cornwall Library is under the banner of Green Jobs/Green NY, a statewide initiative established by the Legislature in 2009 to: 1) Promote energy efficiency, energy conservation and clean technologies; 2. Reduce energy consumption and costs; 3. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions; 4. Support sustainable community development, and; 5. Create green job opportunities, including for emerging, unemployed and displaced workforce.
The Workshop will take place in the library’s community room from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m. The public is cordially invited; no registration is required. For more information, visit: http://rupco.org/hr.html
