Nature Museum Hike
On Saturday, September 8 at 10 a.m., the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will be hosting a: Geology Hike! Come join Environmental Educator Judy Onufer at the Outdoor Discovery Center, on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall, for a short presentation on the geological history of New York State. Learn about more than a billion years of New York State History.
After a short presentation about the geology of our region, participants will take a 2-mile guided hike that goes back more than a billion years in geologic history. Learn how to identify primary rock types and visit the site of a 19th century magnetite mine. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots recommended. Please bring water and a snack.
Recommended for adults with or without children and for children ages 7 and up. Admission: $7/Adults - $5/Children. Museum Members: $5/Adults - $3/Children
