Orange County to host COVID-19 vaccination clinics at SUNY Orange and New York Air Show
Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus has announced that the County’s Health Department will host COVID-19 vaccination clinics at SUNY Orange’s Middletown and Newburgh campuses and at the New York Air Show in Montgomery next week.
The Moderna vaccine will be administered at all sites.
Since January, the County’s Health Department has administered more than 85,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Approximately 51 percent of eligible Orange County residents have received two doses of the vaccine.
“I want to thank SUNY Orange and the New York Air Show for collaborating with us in providing these critical vaccinations to our residents,” Neuhaus said. “The pandemic has solidified the importance of our relationship with SUNY Orange and other key partners, and we are glad to work with them to help our community. These types of partnerships will help curb the spread of the virus by increasing access to the vaccination.”

Parking for the Middletown clinic will be in Lot 4 adjacent to SUNY Orange’s Physical Education Center with overflow being directed to Lot 11, located next to the Morrison Lab School. Lot 4 can be accessed via South Street. Visitors can turn onto Tennis Court drive (next to the Morrison Lab School) and proceed to the entrance to Lot 4, which is on the right.
Parking for the SUNY Orange Newburgh clinic will be in the Kaplan Hall Parking garage, which is accessible from First Street.
“I want to thank County Executive Steve Neuhaus, Health Commissioner Dr. Irina Gelman and the entire OCDOH staff for bringing vaccination PODs to the SUNY Orange campuses,” said Dr. Kristine Young, SUNY Orange President. “Vaccinations are among the most critical elements of the College’s multi-faceted COVID response plan that was developed to help us have a full return to in-person, on-campus activities. Vaccinations will become even more essential for students once SUNY’s system-wide vaccine mandate is enacted upon FDA approval of one of the vaccines.”
“These PODs will greatly benefit our unvaccinated students and employees; but I hope our unvaccinated friends and neighbors will also take advantage of the easy access to vaccinations so we can all come through this continuing pandemic as safely as possible,” Dr. Young added.
The New York Air Show clinics are for ticketholders and staff only and will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28thand Sunday, August 29th at Orange County Airport, where the event will be held.
