A Night at the Headquarters

Join the night watchman making his rounds at Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site during “A Night At The Headquarters” and find out just what does happen within the nocturnal shadows of an old, venerated house and museum. Follow the night watchman Friday, November 4th or Saturday, November 5th when he ventures out on one of six half-hour rounds beginning at 5:00 PM. His last round is 7:30 PM. Meet those who inhabit the dark corners and deep recesses of the historic house and museum. According to the night watchman, exhibits come to life with just a shine from his flashlight. However, don’t take his word for it, see for yourself. Admission for this Special Event is $4.00 per person. Reservations are necessary and should be made no later than November 3rd.

If you accompany the night watchman you may meet an artist, a female French spy, or a quartermaster. They just might surprise you with the variety of intriguing tales they can tell. See for yourself how charming and entertaining they are, while they share some insight into the history of the site and the surrounding Hudson Valley. It’s an evening well spent; just ask the night watchman!
