Newburgh International Festival
This year’s 23rd Annual International Festival will be on the spacious grounds of the former New York State Armory at 321-393 S. William Street, in Newburgh, from Friday evening, Sept. 2– Monday, Sept. 5. In addition to the carnival midway by Shamrock Shows, there will be a wide array of international cuisine, vendors, and live performances. Opening Ceremonies will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3.
The Arm of the Sea Theater, which has delighted regional audiences for more than 20 years, will present the bilingual “Criss-Crossing Borders- the Panama Suitcase Show” on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. The show incorporates visual storytelling to portray kinship ties between animals and humans, and between people living on opposite sides of a border. The performance is family-oriented, and FREE!
There will also be pony rides and a petting zoo for youngsters to enjoy. And, this year, every day is “Wristband Day” For only $20 each day, festival goers can enjoy unlimited carnival rides during the following times: Friday: 5 - 11 p.m. and Saturday-Monday, from 1-5 p.m.
Live performances start at 3 p.m. Saturday. The lineup is as follows:

The show will go on, rain or shine. Midway rides and early-bird vendors will begin on Friday around 5 p.m. The festivities will be in full swing with carnival rides and attractions on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 11 p.m., and on Monday from noon till 10 p.m.
DMU Music will be providing a medley of favorite music from around the world for all ages throughout the festival.
