Kairos & the Newburgh Chamber Music Ensemble
Kairos: A Consort of Singers performs the work of J.S. Back with the Newburgh Chamber Music Ensemble at 3 pm at St. George's Church, 105 Grand Street, in Newburgh.
Kairos: A Consort of Singers is a select vocal ensemble dedicated to the performance of unaccompanied choral literature from the Medieval to the present. The group is Artist-in-Residence at Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, NY and performs throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. Kairos also presents the Bach Cantata Series, with performances of the church cantatas of J. S. Bach at various times throughout the year at Holy Cross Monastery. Now in its fifth year, the series has elicited an enormously enthusiastic response by the public and has received wide critical acclaim. In 2009, Kairos celebrated its 15th anniversary as the premiere vocal ensemble in the Hudson Valley.
