Lydia Adams Davis will sing 19th century Pop Music.

Take a trip through the Romantic Age with singer Lydia Adams Davis, pianist Ruthanne Schempf and violinist Emily Faxon who will perform popular music from the time of Edgar Allan Poe at 3 pm at the Newburgh Free Library at 124 Grand Street in Newburgh, NY.

Haunting melodic poems and songs that Edgar Allan Poe, and the beloved women in his life his mother, step-mother and wife enjoyed . . . Poe's memorable verse and prose will be experienced in dramatic renditions of his works through Irish and Scottish ballads, fiddle tunes and in the Crashing Choruses of Demon Wind, The Bells and The Raven . . .
An actual Raven (puppet) will recite, excite, and transport us to the Romantic era mid 19th century.

This project is made possible through the NEA and also with funding from the Orange County Tourism and County of Orange.
For families. Free. Registration suggested. Call (845) 563-3619 for more information.
