Stained Glass Dedication at Library
|
| The stain glass reads YA, for Young Adult, a section of books in the library. |
A beautiful stained glass piece now hanging in the Young Adult section of Cornwall Public Library will be officially dedicated in memory of Diana Meaney, a popular children’s librarian who spent several years focusing on and working for the young patrons served by the library.
At the time of Diana’s passing, the Friends of Cornwall Library received many contributions in her memory. They requested of the Library that ‘something special’ be done to honor Diana. A member of the Library’s T.U.T. (Teen Underclassmen Team) and a friend of the Meaney family – Margaret Hack – designed a “YA” to be crafted in stained glass that would reflect the young adults with whom Diana had such a wonderful rapport. Working closely with Margaret, Tom Munterich of Artistic Endeavors created the finished product that is now featured in the library’s “YA” window.
The dedication of the Diana Meaney Memorial will take place at 7PM in the Library, followed by a light reception provided by the Friends of Cornwall Library in the Community Room. Anyone wishing to attend is most welcome.

What a beautiful sparkle for the library in memory of a lady with sparkle. The design is perfect.
