Quilt Exhibit at Brick House Museum

The Brick House Museum in Montgomery will host a quilt show during the month of September.
The Museum’s month-long quilt show will feature the work of the Bernina B’s. The B’s are a group of women who meet most Mondays at St John’s Lutheran Church in Middletown. They work on sewing and quilted items to donate to charity, as well as their own projects. They also create many items for the annual bazaar held at the church in November.
“The quilting craftsmanship and creativity of the Bernina B’s is preserving a true American tradition,” said Orange County Executive Diana. “We’re happy to provide them with a space to showcase their talent – and I applaud them for giving back to the community through their show and donations.”
The quilts that will be on display are of varying construction – pieced, appliquéd and machine embroidered. The highlight this year is a Christmas quilt that was machine embroidered and appliquéd, as well as other seasonal quilts.
