On Saturday, March 27th, Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site in Newburgh celebrates Women's History Month. The annual program honors Martha Washington, the nation's first First Lady by presenting the Martha Washington Woman of History Award, which acknowledges the contributions made by a woman who has advanced the promotion of history. The 2010 award recognizes Mary Ann Fish, a founding Director of the Palisades Parks Conservancy. This year, the ceremony will take place in the historic Green Room of the Ritz Theater, on Broadway, in Newburgh, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The program will also include a guest speaker and topical talk, refreshments, and musical entertainment.
The Ritz Theater is located at 111 Broadway in Newburgh, NY. Secure and convenient parking is available in front of the theater or in the Ann Street municipal parking lot that is directly behind the theater .
