Warm Up With The Washingtons
Ever wonder what an 18th Century yuletide was like? Find out when you come to Warm Up At The Washingtons at Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site Sunday, December 8th, 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
Walk through seasonally decorated rooms used by General and Mrs. Washington during the holiday season of 1782. Be serenaded by the Salmagundi Consort. Listen as historic interpreters in each room answer questions and explain about the importance of the historic headquarters during the last days of the Revolutionary War. Enjoy cookies and hot cider by an outdoor fire.
Put aside the present-day busy holiday to experience a more serene, charming, and quaint one during this festive annual event. Admission is free for the day, compliments of the Friends of the State Historic Sites of the Hudson Highlands.
