Meet Live Animals And find Out What They Eat! After-School Outdoor Learning and Exploration Program!
Beginning on Tuesday, November 9 and Wednesday, November 10 the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will offer a fascinating and fun six-week after-school program designed specifically for K-2nd graders.
The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum is going wild over herbivores and carnivores! Children will join Environmental Educator Carl Heitmuller to meet some of the museum’s amazing live animals that have specialized adaptations for survival. They will find out answers to questions including: How animals find their food, what animals eat, and how do animals avoid becoming a carnivore’s next meal? Become nature detectives and search for evidence left behind by local animals while exploring the fields, wetlands and woods with Carl at the Outdoor Discovery Center . This program will take place on six consecutive Tuesdays starting November 9 and November 10. The program will meet from 3:45 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Outdoor Discovery Center , on Muser Drive , across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall.
Cost is $95. Museum Members: $80. Space is limited. Pre-paid registration required by calling 534-5506, ext. 204. For a listing of more programs visit the Museum’s website at www.hhnaturemuseum.org .
