On Saturday, January 16 at 10 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m., the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum presents Snakes Alive! This special snake program, that will benefit the Museum’s living animals, will confirm that snakes are indeed awesome animals, helpful to the environment and very misunderstood. Come join Environmental Educator, Pam Golben at the
Outdoor Discovery Center , entrance on Muser Drive , across from 174 Angola Road , to meet some of the resident snakes . Get a close-up look at their amazing adaptations and learn about snakes that live in the Hudson Valley and what to do if you see one! There will be hands-on replicas of snakes to touch and observe. Leave with a snake craft to create at home.
Recommended for adults with or without children and for children ages 5 and up. Cost: Adults, $7, Children, $5. Members: Adults, $4, Children, $2. Pre-registration is requested for this popular program. Walk-ins welcome if space is available. For information and pre-registration, call (845) 534-5506, ext 204.
