Coat Sale at New to You Boutique

St. Luke's Cornwall Health System Foundation Auxiliary will host its annual “Sale of 1,000 Coats” at the New to You Boutique in New Windsor on October 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shoppers will be able to purchase low-cost, gently used coats and other outerwear for men, women and children. All proceeds support SLCH’s mission to enhance programs, services and facilities.
“The response we’ve received this year has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Auxiliary President Barbara Mehar. “I’m proud of everyone’s dedication to making this event a success and delighted that we’re able to ensure that everyone in our community has access to affordable outerwear.”
Students and faculty from Washingtonville High School were among those who collected coats for the drive. “When we all work together, we can make a powerful difference in each others’ lives,” said Barbara Fogarty, Auxiliary member and co-chair of the Coat Sale event. She added, “It’s especially wonderful to see young people getting involved with their community hospital.”
The coat sale complements services provided by the Auxiliary, whose members serve as advocates and ambassadors for SLCH and raise funds in support of patient-care needs.
The New to You Boutique, located at 436 Blooming Grove Turnpike in New Windsor, sells gently used clothing, home furnishings and accessories generously donated by civic-minded community members. All proceeds go toward enriching care and services at the hospital.
General shop hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To accommodate holiday shopping, the Boutique will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings through November 20.
