Hip Hop Poetry and Art
On Thursday, youth and creativity mix it up when the internationationally-acclaimed ReadNex Poetry Squad performs at 5pm at SUNY Orange Newburgh, against a backdrop of murals by young local artists, sponsored by Newburgh Youth Art.
Through words and music, the ReadNex Poetry Squad entertains and uplifts urban communities with their unique style influenced by Hip-Hop, Soul, Latin and Caribbean music. The Newburgh Youth Art project is designed for young artists to have an artistic outlet for their voices. Stick around after the Readnex Poetry Squad’s 5 pm performance for a reception and chance to meet the artists involved.
