Still Don't Have A Website?
Topics that will be covered that evening are Website Purpose, Timeline, Domain Name, Site Map, Affiliations, How to Measure Site Success, Functionality, Competition, Content, Quality Imagery, Web Hosting, Investment, Software, and Search Engine Optimization. The workshop, sponsored by Jacobowitz and Gubits, is held at the Arts Council office, 23 White Oak Drive, Sugar Loaf from 7 to 9 p.m. and the cost is $15, or free for Artist & Organization Members.
Facilitating the workshop is award-winning designer, Molly Ahearn, the creative force behind Full Deck Design, a boutique graphic design firm specializing in web and print media. Ahearn has helped many artists and arts organizations build websites that reflect the true spirit of their work and personality. As an accomplished fine art pho tographer herself, she particularly enjoys sharing her technical expertise to increase online search ability and broaden exposure to galleries, buyers and enthusiasts. During her 25 years in the business, she has worked with large and small-size organizations including Canon, Arts Northern Dutchess, Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Saint Francis Hospital and Art Studio Views, making an impact nationally as well as locally. Ahearn’s book The Dutchess County Fair: Portrait of an American Tradition was published by Black Dome Press in 2007. Ahearn studied at the International Center of Photography in New York City and apprenticed with acclaimed Magnum photographer Bruce Davidson. Samples of her work can be seen at fulldeckdesign.com and mollyahearnphotography.com.
