Preserving Summer at the Grail

The public is invited to stop by The Grail Center at 119 Duncan Avenue in Cornwall-on-Hudson this Labor Day weekend.   Here's what you'll find:

The theme is PRESERVING SUMMER! And, as is our tradition, we'll be working together and learning some almost forgotten skills: canning, freezing and making jams.

* Saturday morning 9:30-11:30 we'll can some peaches and tomatoes

* Saturday afternoon 2:30-4:30 come learn about the mysteries of freezing fruits and vegetables

* Sunday afternoon 2:30-4:30 we'll make peach jam!

* Sunday evening 6:30 p.m. community potluck cookout. Bring a dish to share, or something for the grill, or drinks, but come!

There is no charge for these group workshops, and you can buy some of the products to take home for your pantry.

Please plan to stop in and help us celebrate the sweetness of summer!

For more information, call the Grail at 845-534-2031 or Emily Thomas at 347-262-6466.
