Newburgh Brewery Opening
More than three years after Christopher Basso began to lay plans for a micro-brewery in Newburgh, he and his business partners Paul Halayko and Charlie Benedetti will preside over a ribbon-cutting ceremony this Thursday at the brick building on Colden Street that is the new home of the Newburgh Brewing Company.
After the ceremony, the brewers first beers will be on tap at The Wherehouse at 119 Liberty Street for a launch party set from 6 to 10 pm.
The brewery is expecting to have its own tap room open for tasting its beer in May.
