How Animals and Plants Get Ready for Winter!
Beginning on Tuesday, November 17 or Wednesday, November 18 the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will offer a fun and educational five-week after-school program that will teach kids all about: How Animals and Plants Get Ready for Winter! at the Outdoor Discovery Center, entrance on Muser Drive , across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall . Pre-registration is required.
Do Bears hibernate? Children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade will join Environmental Educator, Carl Heitmuller, to learn all about hibernation, winter foraging and more. As the seasons change, many animals and plants have fascinating adaptations for survival. Children will explore the habits and habitats of the wildlife with whom we share this region. They will also meet some fantastic live critters that live at the Museum. This Pathfinders program will take place on five consecutive Tuesdays starting November 17 or Wednesdays starting November 18. The program will meet from 3:45 pm until 5 pm at the Outdoor Discovery Center , entrance on Muser Drive , across from 174 Angola Road , Cornwall .
