MSM Annual Art Show
Mount Saint Mary College will hold its 34th annual Artists on the Campus fine arts show and sale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (June 7). The show is free and open to the public; the rain date is June 14.
In conjunction with New York State’s celebration of the Quadricentennial of Henry Hudson’s exploration of the river that bears his name, the art show has added a new category this year, “Celebrating the Hudson River,” in all media. The City of Newburgh is celebrating its 300th anniversary this year and will hold River Day the same day with much to enjoy, including music and drama performances, and a flotilla arriving in the late afternoon. Free trolleys will transport visitors between the river and the Mount campus.
More than 50 artists exhibited last year in the following categories: oil/acrylic, black and white photography, color photography, drawings and prints, mixed media, water media, pastel and sculpture. This year’s judge is painter and art instructor Cynthia Harris-Pagano. Portraits by the Otisville resident hang in private and public collections in Canada, England, Italy and Sweden as well as the United State. Participating artists this year include the following.
