What Every Artist Wants to Know, but is Afraid to Ask
The Arts Council presents the fifth in the 2010 workshop series, What Every Artist Wants to Know, but Is Afraid to Ask, on Tuesday, June 22 from 7-9pm. The topic will be " No Money, No Matter, Low Cost Marketing” with Deborah Garry, President & Partner, BBG&G Advertising & Public Relations. The workshop, sponsored by Jacobowitz and Gubits, is held at the Arts Council office, 23 White Oak Drive, Sugar Loaf and the cost is $15, or free for Artist & Organization Members.
Deborah Garry brings over twenty-five years of diversified corporate experience in advertising, publishing, and marketing. She began her career as an Advertising Manager, directing the development of sales and promotional materials for a large corporate and industrial real estate firm. She then moved into publishing, creating educational books, packaging, and sales tools for a leading national educational publisher, Troll, Inc. As an advertising and design consultant, she worked with advertising agencies throughout Manhattan, New Jersey, and the Mid-Hudson region, building a core of multi-faceted strategic marketing skills. For 8 years she owned Ideas Design, a full-service creative firm providing marketing and design services to retailers, manufacturers, businesses, service firms, and health care organizations.
Deborah is a graduate of Leadership Orange, a board member of the Academies of Finance and Information Technology at Middletown High School, serves on the 2010 Marketing Committee of the Boy Scouts of America Hudson Valley Council and has recently been made Chair of the Marketing Committee for the Orange County Women’s Leadership Fund.
