Stone Wall Building Workshops for Veterans
The Arts for Vets program of the Orange County Arts Council will host two stone wall building workshops at the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor on May 30 from for veterans and their families. Mason and stone artist Bob Hilfiger will teach this workshop entitled: "The Art and Craft of the Stone Wall." These two workshops will continue work already started at the Purple Heart Hall.
The workshop is from 8am-12pm at the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, 374 Temple Hill Road in Vails Gate. There is no charge to veterans and families for the workshops.
Arts for Vets is a project of the Orange County Arts Council for veterans and their families. The Council, with support of the Orange County Executive and the County Legislature, offers ongoing arts-related activities for military families in the region including on-going writing sessions, painting and photography classes, and drama/improvisation workshops. Information about the Arts for Vets program will be available.
