Purple Heart Appreciation Day
This date honors General Washington's 1782 orders establishing the Badge of Military Merit, the inspiration for today's Purple Heart. The theme of the event this year will be to commemorate the 7oth Anniversary of the landings on Guadalcanal, the first major U.S. land Campaign of the War in the Pacific. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Please call 845-561-1765 to make a reservation.
The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor is located at 374 Temple Hill Road (Route 300) in New Windsor, NY.
