Hamilton lecture Series Concludes at the library

CORNWALL, NY – Rick Feingold, Professor of American History at Bergen Community College is well-known for his unique and dynamic lectures on everything from World War II to the Industrial Revolution to his series on Hamilton. On Tuesday, May 15 at 6:00pm, Feingold will present his final lecture in the Hamilton series “Aaron Burr: The Villain of the Story” in the library’s community room. He will discuss details of Aaron Burr’s life as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Revolutionary War, as well as the famous duel. Feingold will also cover how Burr was later tried for treason, but got away with the murder of Hamilton. This program features music from the Broadway show, including “The Election of 1800,” and “Hamilton Burr Duel.”

Over the last several months Feingold has given an in depth look at Hamilton the musical and how it relates to the actual events and people involved. Each lecture featured music and video from the musical. Fans of Hamilton won’t want to miss the conclusion to this story! Feingold will also have a handout with detailed instructions on the best way to get those elusive tickets to see Hamilton on Broadway. This lecture is free and open to the public.
