The Ethics of Designer Children
“Designer Children,” a presentation by Dr. Ellen McGee, Bioethics Associate at the Long Island Center for Ethics.
There are more than 30 ways to have a baby, ranging from the administration of fertility drugs to the possibility of cloning. Dr. Ellen McGee’s presentation, Designer Children, on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 4pm in the Great Room, Kaplan Hall 101, will offer some principles for the ethical analysis of assisted reproductive technologies and look at examples of controversial cases and practices.
