Spring Concert at the Mount



Mount Saint Mary College will present its annual spring concert featuring the college’s choir and the instrumental ensemble at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Hudson Hall Auditorium. The concert is free and the public is welcome.

The choir’s selections will include: “To My Old Brown Earth,” written by Pete Seeger; “Sing Me to Heaven” by Daniel E. Gawthrop; “Londonderry Air” (also known as Danny Boy), a traditional Irish melody.

The ensemble will perform a miss of classical and jazz pieces including: “St. Anthony’s Chorale” by Johannes Brahms; “They Can’t Take That Away from Me” by George and Ira Gershwin; and “Take Five” by Dave Brubeck.  

The choir members are: Elizabeth Adebiyi, a nursing/psychology major from the Bronx; Mark Arancion, a junior psychology major from Flushing; Randy Bennett, a junior psychology major from Middletown; David Brignina, senior accounting major from Warwick; Meagan Conlon, a freshman from Bellerose; Molly Creem, a junior business management and administration major from Naugatuck, Ct.; Austin Dugger, a junior history/special education major from Poughkeepsie; Frankie Fante, a freshman nursing major from East Haven, Ct.

Also, Catherine Greiner, a freshman from New Hyde Park; Barnica Laveau, a freshman nursing major from Queens; Kaitlyn Miccio, a junior nursing major from Fishkill; Brian Murphy, a freshman from Queens; Megan Rossi, a freshman nursing major from Massapequa; Jessica Seabolt, a junior psychology major from West Point; Scott Tabone ’08, an education graduate student from Kings Park; Latoya Thomas, a freshman psychology/education major from Bay Shore; and Genesis Valverde, a public relations/psychology major from the Bronx.

The ensemble members are: Jacob Cohen-Donnelly, a junior biology major from Beacon; Loribeth Cusumano, a sophomore physical therapy/psychology major from Valley Stream; Willie Dinkins, a junior psychology major from Pleasant Valley; Casey Hoey, a sophomore history major from Seaford; Brian S. Kluska, a junior communication arts major from Blairstown, NJ; Brittany Marrone, a freshman nursing major from Waterloo.

Also, Heather Merrill, a sophomore English major from Downsville; Karen Molfese, a sophomore English major; Pauline A. Noel, a senior communications arts major Newburgh; Christopher Repetti, a junior communication arts major from Mahwah, NJ; Shawn R. Tocidlowski, a junior biology major from Patterson; and Kristina Walker, a junior nursing major from Medford.

Durward Entrekin, D.M.A., Mount professor of music, will direct the choir. Kaylyn Kinney, Mount adjunct professor of music, will direct the ensemble.
