Oh No, Turtles are in Trouble!
On Saturday, June 6, at 10 a.m. , the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will be hosting: Turtles in Trouble! Come join Environmental Educator, Pam Golben, at the Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center , entrance on Muser Drive , across from 174 Angola Road , Cornwall , to learn about the problems turtles encounter such as: destruction of habitats, why they cross roads, who their predators are and why people should not remove them from the wild. Also, Pam will discuss: common turtle species, basic turtle biology and why the population is decreasing. Come discover ways to help. Meet the Museum’s native Turtles and after the program take a walk to the wetlands with binoculars in search of turtles who live at the Outdoor Discovery Center .
