On Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. come to the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall to learn about those Funny Bunnies! Participants will join environmental educator Megan Hoffman to learn answers to questions such as: what do rabbits eat, how do they protect themselves, and where do they nest? “Mother cottontail rabbits will leave their babies alone all day, only coming back under the cover of darkness to nurse their young,” said Hoffman. “This helps to protect the babies from predators.” Members of the Warwick Valley Chapter of the Future Farmers of America will be at the program with their pet rabbits for participants to meet and touch. Create a bunny craft and take a short guided hike with Megan in search of signs of our native rabbit the Eastern cottontail. This program is recommended for adults with or without children, and children of all ages. Admission: $7/Adults, $5/Children. Museum members: $5/Adults, $3/Children.
