Newburgh Halloween Parade & Concert
The first annual Newburgh Parade and Concert will step off on Saturday, October 31 at 6pm. Everyone is invited to take part in this historical mini-parade which will gather at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Old Cemetery at Gidney Avenue and Liberty Street. The procession will end at Tyrone Crabb Park on Grand Street where there will be a musical concert, Tribute to the Grateful Dead, by the exciting Nailed Shut. Everyone is welcome to join this free and fun event. There will be goody bag giveaways and a costume contest with prizes to the Vampire Ball at TheWarehouse on Liberty Street, Newburgh.
Organized by Newburgh's renowned event planner Ferry Godmother Productions, this event is destined to be another regional sensation. If you don't feel like walking with the parade, you can bring a chair, bundle up, and enjoy the music until the parade arrives.
Ferry Godmother Productions hopes to see adults who want to play dress up and attend this event in costume. Also welcome are puppeteers, marching bands, jugglers, dancers and other street performers. Everyone is welcome to join theevent the more the better. The range of costumes should be very diverse from common creepy Halloween costumes, to modern costumes on the topic of contemporary interests. The costume contest winners will be judged on the most creative and the most impressive. Costume or not, no one will be rejected. The goal is to have a good time and get pleasure from the experience. The parade organizing team also needs volunteers, and are particularly looking for walkers (in the parade), line up assistance, and marchers. No experience is required.
Nailed Shut members are located in Orange County, NY. The band consists of 5+ members who all love to create live music. They play a mix of songs from TheAllman Bothers, CCR , Tom Petty, The Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, The Who, Marshall Tucker and weave a incredible mix of songs from the Dead into each set. Nailed Shut likes to get the audience up dancing till they are exhausted!!

This is a great chance to get together with people who participated in the parade and observe their costumes up close. It will also be an opportunity for adults to return to childhood once more and to have fun with their family and friends. TheNewburgh Halloween Parade & Concert will give the city another opportunity to take its rightful place as the All American City.
