Museum program to focus on: Where Have All the Animals Gone for the Winter?

“Hide and Sleep”

On Sunday, February 7 at 10 a.m. , come to the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum ’s Outdoor Discovery Center , entrance on Muser Drive , across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall and join Environmental Educator, Alicia Ocana, to learn where all the animals have gone for the winter at Hide and Sleep . Some animals are hibernating, some have headed south and others may be hiding in plain sight. Participants will meet some of the museums resident animals and learn about their winter habits. After the program take a short hike with Alicia to the fields at the Outdoor Discovery Center and look for signs of wildlife. Finish up the morning with a hibernation craft to take home. This program is recommended for adults with or without children, and children ages 5 and older. Dress for outdoor weather. Cost: $5 per person. Members: $3.
