Meet Live Snakes at the
Hudson Highlands Nature Museum’s
Wildlife Education Center
On Saturday, March 21 at 10 a.m. the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum presents Snakes Alive! Join environmental educator Pam Golben who says, “In the Hudson Valley, the most common snakes found in yards or basements are the garter snake, milk snake and black rat snake. These snakes are not only harmless; they provide valuable pest control by consuming small rodents that can carry fleas, ticks and disease.” This program is being held at the Wildlife Education Center, 25 Boulevard, Cornwall-on-Hudson and is indoors. Come get a close-up look at these reptiles amazing adaptations and learn how to identify snakes that live in the Hudson Valley. There will be live snakes to observe plus snake artifacts available for hands-on interaction. For adults with or without children ages 5 and up. Admission: Adults, $8, Children, $6.
