Cottontail Tales at the Nature Museum
On Saturday, April 7 at 10 a.m. come to the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall to learn about Bunnies! Participants will join Environmental Educators Vicki Rubino and Sasha Boucher to learn answers to questions such as: why do rabbits have so many babies, how do they protect themselves, and where do they nest?
Meet the Museum’s resident Bunnies, create a bunny craft to take home and take a short guided hike with Vicki and Sasha in search of signs of our native rabbit the Eastern cottontail. This program is recommended for adults with or without children, and children of all ages. Admission: $5 per person. Museum members: $3. For information call 845-534-5506, ext. 204. Visit the museum’s website at www.hhnaturemuseum.org .
