Sands Ring 250th Birthday Celebration

Sands Ring Homestead will celebrate its 250th Birthday from 1 to 4 p.m. at 180 Main Street, Cornwall, across from Town Hall.
Party activities include making scarecrows, planting herb seeds, spinning wool, playing hoop games, storytelling, listening to live colonial music, and birthday cake and song.
Reservations required, call 845-534-4829 or email [email protected]. Suggested donation: $25 per family, or $10 per person. All proceeds benefit the New Roof Fund.

I was director of colonial crafts at the homestead for many years. The best part was living in the historic house and sharing it history.
