Swing Street Orchestra
Swing Street Orchestra plays at Storm King Art Center on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This seven-piece orchestra plays favorites from Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and other giants from the Swing Era. “Swing Street is a band with a rare ability: It provides stirring jazz and dance tempos without compromising either one…” reports New York Newsday.
Storm King Art Center is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Open on Holiday Mondays: October 12. Closed Mondays (except Holiday Mondays) and Tuesdays. Picnics and food: Eat, drink, and relax under a shady tree or at a table in the designated picnic areas. Please, no cooking. Drinks and snacks are always available from vending machines. On weekends only, beverages, light lunch, and snacks are available for purchase at Woody’s Café at Storm King.
Admission: $10 – Adults; $9 – Seniors & College Students with Valid I.D.; $7 – K-12 Students; Children 5 and under free.
