On Tuesday, February 10 at 7:30pm, The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, in partnership with the Greater Cornwall Quadricentennial Committee and the Cornwall Presbyterian Church, presents a Quadricentennial Evening Speaker Series: 1709-1909: Cornwall through History.
This speaker series will be held at the Cornwall Presbyterian Fellowship Hall, 222 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson (right down the road from Painter’s Tavern.)
Join Village Historian, Collette Fulton and the Cornwall town Historian, Janet Dempsey, for a look back-in-time. Come hear about the MacGregorie family and the first settlement in Orange County. Get a feel for Cornwall in the 1800’s when the docks were built and steamboats brought goods and pople to the Landing and hotels and boarding houses accommodated those seeking the healthy Storm King Mountain air. Learn about Cornwall’s grand Tricentennial Celebration in 1909.
Suggested donation: $5, Museum members and church members: $3. Beverages and desserts available for purchase.
This program is sponsored in part by the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial. If the weather is questionable, please call 845-534-5506 to listen to the recorded message.
