Iona Island History Hike
Take a tour through time with Environmental Educator Doc Bayne, and learn about the many layers of Iona Island history on May 14th at 8:30 am & May 15th at 1 pm.
From its Native American occupation to its days as a vineyard, a World War II munitions depot, and even an amusement park, discover the varied and fascinating history of Iona Island. This hike will last approximately 2 hours and is recommended for children 12 years and older.
Registration is required for this special event and is limited to a maximum number of 50.
Please note: much of the terrain is uneven and/or rocky. Wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes. Bring water and wear insect repellent.
Directions to meeting spot will be given at time of registration.
